A LEADING Tamil weekly, Ananda Vikatan, recently came out with a list of top ten people in Tamilnadu in 2010. One of those figuring in the list is P Sampath, president of the Tamilnadu Untouchability Eradication Front (TNUEF). The weekly has appreciated his efforts for demolishing the untouchability walls in various parts of the state, taking dalits into the temples where they were denied entry, and conducting massive surveys of practices of untouchability all over the state. CPI (M) MLA G Latha also figures in the list.
